True Friendship

It's often who you know what matters in life and Jaycees are people who are connected. Serving as a Waterloo Jaycee provides the opportunity to develop strong relationships with other Jaycees who are often people of influence. Members share a very real connection with all other members, past and present. Many lifelong friendships have been started while participating in a Waterloo Jaycee event.

Business Development

The Waterloo Jaycees organization has a rich tradition as one of the strongest chapters in the state and is a stepping stone for community leaders. Many of the current business and governmental leaders in the Cedar Valley community were, or are, Waterloo Jaycees. Many other civic and business groups look to the Waterloo Jaycees for new leaders to join their boards, or bring fresh ideas into their organizations.

Career Advancement

Since 1931, the purpose of the Waterloo Jaycees has been to provide leadership training for its members through community service. These projects help to develop techniques and management skills to improve personal and professional leadership abilities.

Community Service

The Waterloo Jaycees organization is very visible within the community, hosting two of the largest spectator events in the Cedar Valley area each year, the Jaycees Waterloo Open and Jaycees Fourth of July Fireworks Festival. Many other projects and events are held throughout the year, continuing the long tradition of the Waterloo Jaycees dedication to community improvement.

Community and Social Involvement

Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to become involved in many community service and social events held by the Waterloo Jaycees. Calendar of Events
